Are you a Mechanical Engineer who is looking to step up into a Lead role at a multi-national power station operator? Do you have a time served apprenticeship and want a role with great autonomy where you will have good training opportunities and technical development?
This company operates and maintains numerous power generation plants across the UK and abroad. Due to continued success and an ongoing programme of growth, they are now looking to recruit a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join on an initial 12-month fixed term contract with the potential for up to 2 years extension.
This role will be a 50/50 split between hands-on mechanical maintenance work and managing works. You will be responsible for planning for planned outages, overseeing contractors and answering mechanical maintenance queries. Training on the specifics of the power plant can be provided.
The ideal candidate will be a mechanical engineer who has completed a relevant time served apprenticeship. They will have experience working within the heavy engineering sector and be looking to take the next step up into a lead role. They will also need to be commutable to Plymouth 5-days a week.
