Excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer with strong Networking, Security and Telephony experience to join a large public sector organisation in a critical, high-availability environment offering technical ownership and project leadership. This company is a major public sector organisation running a complex network and telephony estate supporting essential services across multiple sites. They are looking to add an experienced engineer to strengthen operational support and lead new implementations.
In this role you will provide technical expertise across LAN/WAN, security infrastructure and telephony systems, acting as a lead on projects and implementations. You will also contribute to 2nd/3rd line Service Desk support, manage escalations, work with suppliers, and take part in an on-call rota and shift coverage.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large network environments, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-first mindset. A CCNA (or equivalent) and ITIL Foundation are key, with security/telephony exposure (Checkpoint/Mitel) beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a contract role in a high-impact environment, combining hands-on operational support with project delivery responsibility.
