Are you a Mechanic/HGV Technician/Fitter or REME Engineer looking for a permanent and varied role within a stable company offering ongoing training and support?

This is a brilliant opportunity to work for a very successful business who will provide you full product training and opportunities to gain new qualifications to develop your skillset and progress your career.

They are a well-known distributor who work nationwide. You will be workshop based, servicing and maintaining a fleet of HGV\’s, trailers and refrigerated vehicles.

They offer on the job training in areas such maintaining tail lifts and lifting equipment, mechanical diagnostics, LOLER inspection, in-house safety tickets, manual handling and training to service specialised vehicles. You will be put through a nationally recognised course for you to gain an IRTEC licence personally recognising your skills for the next 5 years.

This role would suit a Mechanic / Fitter from a fleet, commercial vehicle, HGV, agricultural or Ex-forces/REME background, looking for a permanent role with training to specialise in the industry.

The Role:

  • Repairs, maintenance and servicing of a variety of HGV and LGV equipment including tractor units and trailers
  • Permanent role working the backshift (Monday-Thursday 2-10:30pm, and Friday 11:30-8pm)
  • Working 1 in 4 weekends (8-4:30pm – switch for a weekday off)
  • On the job training provided with nationally recognised certificates (IRTEC license)

The Person:

  • City and Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Mechanics or similar
  • Experience working with HGV, LGV, commercial vehicles, FLT, plant or similar
  • Looking to gain new skills and qualifications
