The business is seeking a Planner who can be developed, trained, and shaped into a key member of the planning team.

You will work closely with experienced planners, engineering, and shopfloor teams, gaining hands-on exposure to materials planning, production scheduling, MRP, and ERP systems. This role is ideal for someone who already understands how an industrial production environment operates and wants to move into a more structured planning/scheduling role.

The Role:
  • Support material and production planning activities, including processing sales orders, forecasts, production schedules, and running MRP to convert planned orders and purchase requisitions.
  • Work closely with shopfloor teams to manage production priorities, capacity planning, and the flow of work-in-progress, ensuring demand aligns with manufacturing capability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and support stock analysis across store locations, maintaining accurate ERP data (SAP or similar) including BOMs, routings, and delivery dates.
  • Support engineering change activities and new product introductions, tracking and reporting key planning metrics such as order intake, delivery performance, and output.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning and supply chain processes.
The Person:
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment.
  • Experience of planning, scheduling, materials coordination highly desirable.
  • IT literate (SAP/ERP/MRP experience advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work to deadlines.
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in production planning and supply chain.
