Location: Plymouth

Salary: £48,000‑£52,000 per annum plus performance bonuses, flexibility bonuses, enhanced pension and 25 days holiday.

Contract: 1‑year fixed term, with potential for up to 2 years extension, 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage planned outages and related activities.
  • Oversee contractors and coordinate maintenance works.
  • Respond to mechanical maintenance queries and provide technical support.
  • Balance hands‑on mechanical maintenance tasks with management duties (50/50 split).
  • Participate in training on power plant specifics.

Key Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineer with a time‑served apprenticeship.
  • Experience in the heavy engineering sector and power generation.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to commute to Plymouth 5 days a week.
