Are you an experienced operational leader with extensive High Voltage maintenance experience looking to shape the future of a growing engineering business? Do you want to lead operational performance, technical governance and safety compliance across a nationwide maintenance division while influencing business strategy and developing high-performing engineering teams?

This specialist High Voltage engineering business provides installation, maintenance and lifecycle management services across critical electrical infrastructure throughout the UK. As the company continues to expand, they are seeking an experienced Head of Operations (Maintenance) to lead the operational delivery of their growing maintenance portfolio.

In this role, you'll oversee the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance services across the business while driving operational performance, technical governance and compliance. You'll lead maintenance teams, manage competency frameworks, support Electrical Safe Systems of Work, oversee operational KPIs and work closely with senior leadership to improve service delivery and business performance.

The ideal candidate will have extensive operational leadership experience within High Voltage infrastructure together with strong knowledge of Electrical Safe Systems of Work and HV governance. Previous experience leading technical teams, maintaining competency frameworks and supporting commercial performance would be highly beneficial.

  • Ensure compliance with industry legislation and Distribution Safety Rules
  • Support commercial performance, budgeting and contract delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and operational performance
  • Travel to operational sites across the UK

The Person:

  • Previous experience leading HV operations or maintenance teams
  • Strong knowledge of HV safety rules and Electrical Safe Systems of Work
  • Experience managing technical teams and operational performance
  • Commercial awareness and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Background within utilities, power infrastructure or High Voltage engineering
  • Full UK Driving Licence
