Are you a Process Engineer with experience in FEED and process design, looking to take a technical lead role where you will help scale pioneering energy technology from pilot plant through to commercial deployment? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious climate technology company where you will have genuine technical influence, lead multidisciplinary design activity and have excellent long term progression as the business continues to grow.

This company is developing groundbreaking carbon negative technology designed to convert waste feedstocks into hydrogen and biomethane while capturing carbon. Following significant investment and continued development, they are now progressing their technology through pilot scale and towards commercial deployment.

In this role you will take a technical lead across Process Engineering, owning the Process Engineering Basis of Design and leading FEED activity. You will work closely with Chemical and Mechanical Engineers across process design, PFDs and P&IDs, HAZOP, equipment selection, commissioning and continuous improvement, while mentoring less experienced engineers.

This role would suit an experienced Process Engineer looking for a technically challenging position with significant autonomy and the opportunity to progress into engineering leadership.

  • The Role:
    • Technical lead for Process Engineering and multidisciplinary design activity
    • Own the Process Engineering Basis of Design and lead FEED packages
    • Process design including PFDs, P&IDs, mass and energy balances and equipment sizing
    • HAZOP, Process Safety, commissioning and operational troubleshooting
    • Mentor Engineers and support the development of engineering standards
    • Excellent long term progression into engineering leadership
  • The Person:
    • Process Engineer from an industrial process environment
    • Strong FEED and process design experience
    • Experience with PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP and Process Safety
    • Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS or equivalent experience
    • Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or similar degree
    • Energy, Oil & Gas, Gas Processing, Petrochemical, Chemical, Waste to Energy or similar background
