Overview

In this role you will lead delivery of complex 11kV distribution projects across Scotland, guiding project managers and site teams within a national utilities group. You will shape programmes, manage risk and procurement, and ensure safety and quality across multi-site programmes. You’ll provide technical leadership on electrical design, installation, testing and handover, with a strong focus on client relations and operational excellence. This is a senior, mentor-led position with genuine responsibility and long-term career development.

  • salary 60,000 - 70,000

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver multiple electrical projects from planning through commissioning and handover across Scotland
  • Build/manage programmes, resource plans, procurement and risk mitigation for on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Lead, support and develop Project Managers, Site Managers and engineering teams
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality procedures and sustainability objectives
  • Provide technical guidance across electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning and handover
  • Foster strong client relationships and drive operational excellence

Key requirements

  • Senior Electrical Project Manager with substantial experience delivering large-scale electrical projects
  • 11kV distribution background (SAP or SAP in training / AP status) with switching under supervision (CIC COP Option 3/4)
  • Electrical qualification (Degree / HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar preferred) and knowledge of UK regulations/standards
