Due to continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to support customers across Scotland.

The Role:

  • Reactive and planned maintenance including breakdown, repairs and replacements of motors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
  • Strip machine assemblies to component level and rebuild.
  • Work on a diverse range of specialist recycling, waste processing and forestry equipment, including shredders, screeners, trommels, chippers, separation systems and material handling equipment from leading manufacturers such as HAAS, JENZ, Pronar and Bruce Engineering.
  • Initial and ongoing training with the scope to step up into a Senior Engineer role.
  • Standard hours are 7:30 to 4:30, 42 hours per week.
  • OTE 56,000 to 60,000 taking into account average door to door pay and overtime; however, earnings can exceed this.

The Person:

  • Background considered: Mobile Plant Fitters, Field Service Engineers, Agricultural Engineers, Quarrying Equipment Engineers, Recycling Equipment Engineers and Heavy Plant Technicians with strong hydraulic, mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Previous experience working on shredders, screeners, chippers, separation systems and material handling equipment would be advantageous.
  • Ex Forces candidates are encouraged to apply and will be offered training (REME, Navy, RAF etc).
