In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and integration of all components within the company range of cabins, welfare units, and solar units. Ideally candidates will have experience in the design of modular buildings, shelters or vehicles, however other mechanical / sheet metal backgrounds will also be considered.

The role:
- Stand-alone position - responsible for the end-to-end design within the company range of cabins, welfare units, and solar units
- 3D Modelling & 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings (including BOMs and cut lists) for production of sheet metal and structural components
- Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are optimised for cost, ease of assembly, and efficient manufacturing processes.
- Specify, select, and integrate all electrical and power generation components within the designs (training given)
- Compliance, Documentation & Continuous Improvement projects to enhance product performance, reliability, durability, and cost-efficiency.
The person:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for part modelling, assembly creation, and technical drawing generation.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques for materials such as sheet metal, structural steel, and composite panels.
- Familiarity with standard electrical components, wiring practices, and low-voltage DC applications desirable
