Commutable from Leicester, Northampton, Rugby, Loughborough, Nuneaton, Wellingborough.

£40,000 - £50,000 + Monday-Friday 8:45-5pm + Progression + Pension + Holiday + Income Protection Scheme + Brand-New Purpose-Built Office

Exciting opportunity to join a company that will provide you with the ability to display your skills as a Development Designer and manage projects within a highly regarded company from initial Brief stage to Manufacturing stage. This company has been established for over 20 years and is an industry leader working with a host of household brand names such as The North Face, Superdry, Weetabix, Mulberry, Sketchers, and many more. They are looking for motivated individuals to join their growing team.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role will be varied, both supporting New Product Development, as well as Development for current clients. You will be expected to work with concept design as well as assisting in the Manufacturing process.

The Role

  • Technical Design from Initial Brief to Production Stage for Retail POS Displays, Fixtures, Fittings.
  • Produce Technical Drawings
  • New Product Development
  • Research and Development
  • Liaising with both Clients and Manufacturers
  • Helping to implement an in-house Workshop Prototype team.

The Person

  • Experienced Designer within Retail POS or similar industries.
  • Candidates from Retail Design/Interior Design/Shopfitting/Furniture Design/Office Fitout all encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with Manufacturing and knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and production.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Strong 3D CAD Ability (SolidWorks or AutoCAD)
