£40,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + Monday to Friday (36 hours, Friday 12:30pm finish) + Private Medical Insurance + Pension Scheme + Teacher Training + No Weekends + 25 Days Holiday

Are you a qualified Commercial Electrician looking to pass on your knowledge to the next generation? Do you want to become a trainer and assessor within a company that offers a great work-life balance and will invest in your development to be an expert educator?

This company has been established for over 50 years and is dedicated to providing engineering apprenticeships, developing skills and locating talent within the engineering sector. They are rapidly growing and are therefore looking for time-served engineers that are looking for a different engineering route and/or are willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

You will be responsible for teaching and delivering the core electrical maintenance skills to engineering apprentices, such as motor controls, fault finding, industrial electrics, inverters/PLCs and more. You will be tutoring up-and-coming engineers based on your previous engineering experience.

Therefore, the ideal candidate will have previous engineering experience with relevant engineering qualifications. You will also be willing to work towards a teaching qualification or be motivated to move into a teaching/educating role and meet the requirements of a DBS check. This is a fantastic, rewarding opportunity to develop new skills within engineering, educating the next generation of engineers.

The Role:
  • Teaching a range of electrical maintenance principles
  • Training and assessment
  • Delivering high-quality teaching
  • Monday - Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm
  • Base in Coventry, with some potential travel to other sites when necessary
The Person:
  • Electrical Maintenance Engineer/Commercial Electrician
  • Experience working in a workshop or manufacturing or industrial or similar environment
  • Extensive knowledge of industrial electrics, PLCs, HMIs, fault finding
  • Motivated to develop teaching skills and work towards becoming a qualified educator
  • UK Driver's license
  • Excellent communicator
