Are you an experienced Solar PV Design Engineer looking to take the next step into a senior technical role where you can oversee projects from concept through to completion while working on large-scale commercial and ground mount installations?

Do you want to join a growing Solar EPC contractor offering technically varied projects, long-term progression, and the opportunity to work on major developments including commercial, ground mount and data centre projects?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established renewable energy business delivering commercial Solar PV projects across the UK. With a strong pipeline of self-developed projects and major contracts secured, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from initial design through to handover.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Solar PV Design Engineer with strong technical knowledge, looking for a varied role combining design, quality control, client interaction and site visits while working alongside a close-knit and highly experienced team.

The Role:

  • Senior Solar PV Design Engineer responsible for producing and signing off designs, carrying out site audits, quality control and technical support across commercial and ground mount Solar PV projects.
  • Opportunity to work on projects from initial proposal through to handover, including client meetings, grid compliance, DNO liaison and contractor quality assurance.
  • Varied workload including design reviews, pricing support, site visits and preparation of handover documentation.
  • Hybrid role based near Chesterfield with occasional site visits and minimal stays away.

The Person:

  • Experience designing commercial or ground mount Solar PV systems.
  • Knowledge of PVsyst, grid connection requirements and producing technical handover documentation.
  • Full UK driving licence.
