Are you a Senior/Principal Electronics Engineer with a strong background in hardware and firmware development, looking to join a specialist engineering business where you can play a key role in the design of cutting-edge technology? This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team, taking ownership of the design and development of new electronic hardware and embedded firmware solutions while supporting and enhancing existing product lines.

Working on advanced sensing and signal processing technologies, you will be involved throughout the full product development lifecycle, from concept and design through to testing, validation and ongoing maintenance. This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working across both analogue and digital electronics.

The successful candidate will possess strong hardware design expertise, embedded C programming skills and extensive experience with digital signal processing techniques (DSP). Any experience with optoelectronics, ARM microcontrollers, FreeRTOS or advanced PCB layout techniques would be highly advantageous.

The Role:

  • Design and development of new hardware and firmware solutions
  • Maintenance, enhancement and support of existing electronic products
  • Digital and analogue circuit design
  • Signal acquisition, A/D conversion and digital signal processing
  • PCB design and layout across new product developments

The Person:

  • Strong background in digital and analogue electronics design
  • Experience with signal acquisition, DSP, filter design and FFT
  • Embedded C programming experience
  • PCB layout and hardware development expertise
  • Knowledge of ARM/STM32, FreeRTOS, optics/optoelectronics or HDI PCB techniques advantageous
