An exciting opportunity for a technically minded Business Development Manager with an electrical background to join a well-established specialist contractor in a newly created role, where you will play a key part in bringing fixed wire testing services in-house and driving the growth of a new area of the business.

This established specialist contractor operates across the UK, delivering electrical works to commercial and industrial clients. Working with contractors, architects, and end users, the business has built a strong reputation and continues to grow. The business is now bringing fixed wire testing services in-house, having previously outsourced this work to subcontractors.

They are looking for a commercially focused Business Development Manager to establish the service, develop client relationships, generate new opportunities, and support the growth of the wider team.

The ideal candidate will have an electrical background, ideally as an electrician or within electrical services, alongside sales or business development experience. You will be confident meeting clients, understanding requirements, and pricing electrical works.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business in a brand-new position, offering autonomy to develop the fixed wire testing division, build strong client relationships, and play a key role in expanding the business.

The Role:

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide

The salary advertised is the bracket available for this position. The actual salary paid will be dependent on your level of experience, qualifications and skill set and will be decided by our client, the employer.
