Are you a Construction, Architectural Technology or Building Surveying graduate with AutoCAD experience, looking for an office-based technical role where you'll work on energy-efficient retrofit and external wall insulation projects? On offer is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist business where you'll receive ongoing training, develop your technical design skills, and work on a variety of construction projects supporting clients across the UK.
This company is looking to strengthen its technical team with a Technical Design Technician who can produce technical drawings, prepare project documentation, and support the delivery of External Wall Insulation (EWI) and retrofit projects from design through to completion.
The day-to-day of this role includes:
- Producing AutoCAD drawings and 3D visuals
- Preparing project specifications and U-value calculations
- Creating technical documentation
- Assisting with wind load and fixing calculations
- Processing site reports
- Liaising with clients and contractors
- Supporting the wider technical team across multiple projects
The ideal candidate will have:
- A construction-related HND or Level 5 qualification
- Experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp
- Be organised, detail-oriented and eager to learn
- Knowledge of Revit, BIM or structural engineering would be beneficial but not essential
