An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing site in Winterbourne, Bristol. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in quality within a regulated manufacturing environment who is looking to play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The Role

You will support the day-to-day execution of Quality Assurance across a defined production area, ensuring compliance, reducing internal failures, and improving overall product quality. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams, you will take ownership of nonconformances, lead root cause investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Monitoring live manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and control plans
  • Managing non-conforming materials through SAP, ensuring accurate traceability and timely resolution
  • Leading root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D
  • Driving corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and reduce defects
  • Supporting continuous improvement and change management activities
  • Delivering training and guidance to operators on quality standards and best practices
  • Participating in internal audits and ensuring compliance with ISO and GMP standards

The Person

  • Quality Engineer (or similar) with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ideally experienced in regulated or ISO-certified industries
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and problem-solving methodologies
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and support teams on the shop floor
  • Experience using SAP or similar ERP/QMS systems
  • Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and quality excellence
