This is a well-established architectural practice with a diverse portfolio that includes housing developments, private residences, extensions and refurbishments, as well as heritage and conservation projects. While most of their work is located within an hour of the office, the practice is actively expanding, with clear plans in place to drive future growth. Project values range from a few thousand pounds up to £2 million, offering both variety and complexity.
They are now seeking an experienced Architect to join their team who can manage a growing workload and play a key role in supporting the continued development of the business. In this role, you will lead projects across rural, residential, and commercial sectors from concept to completion. Responsibilities include:
- Producing technical drawings and design proposals
- Managing planning applications and the planning process
- Conducting site visits across North Devon and the Southwest
- Mentoring junior team members
The ideal candidate will be an experienced architect, ARB or RIBA registered, and either reside within a commutable distance of our Barnstaple office or be willing to relocate. This is primarily an office-based role, with regular site visits expected a few times per week.
