Overview
In this role you will drive quality across a growing precision engineering manufacturer, collaborating with customers, suppliers and production teams. You will lead quality improvements, manage non-conformances, and support audits while leveraging advanced metrology. The position offers hands-on work with CMM technology and a strong focus on process and system improvements to uphold high-precision standards. Responsibilities
- Manage customer and supplier quality issues using 8D and 5 Why methodologies
- Conduct system, process and supplier audits while supporting continuous improvement
- Produce inspection reports, quality documentation, quality control plans and manufacturing instructions from customer requirements
Key requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of inspection techniques, engineering drawings and quality reporting; ability to train and support others
- Mechanical engineering background; CMM programming and PC-DMIS experience; ISO 9001 auditing experience advantageous
