Are you an experienced Fitter with electrical motor rewind and repair experience, looking for a varied onshore and offshore role based in Aberdeen? This is an opportunity to join a well-established electrical engineering business working on rotating machinery, including motors and generators, across workshop, site, and offshore projects. The role offers long term stability, strong overtime potential, and clear training and progression.
Due to continued growth, the business is expanding its Aberdeen team and is looking for an experienced Electromechanical Fitter. You will be involved in the inspection, overhaul, repair, and rewind of LV and HV rotating machines, supporting both planned and reactive work onshore and offshore. In this role you will carry out hands on mechanical and electrical work to a high standard, including motor strip down, rewind, reassembly, testing, and documentation. Offshore work varies and can range from short trips to longer campaigns depending on project needs.
This role suits a safety conscious Electromechanical Fitter who is confident working on electric motors and rotating equipment and is looking for long term development within a specialist engineering environment.
The Role:
- Inspect, disassemble, and repair LV and HV rotating machines
- Carry out electrical motor rewind and repair work including LV and HV rewinds
- Overhaul, rebuild, assemble, and test motors and generators to QA standards
- Work on customer sites onshore and offshore as required
The Person:
- Proven experience in electromechanical environments working on rotating machinery
- Electrical motor rewind and repair experience
- Offshore certification preferred but not essential
- Full UK driving licence advantageous
- Willing to travel onshore and offshore for short durations as required
