Do you have experience in production/assembly, hands-on role? Are you looking for dedicated training development and progression within a well-established company within the aircraft sector?
On offer is an excellent opportunity for a Technician to join a multibillion turnover aircraft company, to have dedicated training & development and career options with an industry leading EASA 145 facility.
You will work in a specialist team where you will be responsible for the winding of production and repair aviation components for power generation equipment. Ideally, you will be located in a commutable distance to Luton Airport and have experience within a Winder role. Applicants from production/assembly hands-on roles are still encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
The Role:
- Winding of stators, rotors, field coils and armatures using specialized enamel coated copper wire, a variety of hand tools and test equipment.
- Solvent degreasing of components using ultrasonic cleaning equipment.
- Brazing of connections using resistance & flame welding equipment.
- Electrical testing using resistance and high voltage test equipment.
- Undertake dimensional checks using verniers, height gauges, micrometres and check gauges.
Dedicated Training & Technical Development Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 3:30pm Finish on Friday (option to have every other Friday off).
The Person:
- Assembly, hands-on, manufacturing/production background.
- High degree of dexterity and attention to detail.
- Previously working within aviation/aerospace industry desirable but not essential.
