Are you an experienced Section Foreman with a strong background in road construction and diversion works, looking to take a leadership role on a major long-term infrastructure scheme? We're recruiting for a Section Foreman to join a flagship highways project near Kenilworth, Warwickshire. This is a 3-year site-based contract, falling inside IR35, offering highly competitive rates and the opportunity to oversee critical road, drainage, and diversion packages within a major sub-lot.
The Role:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of site teams, allocating tasks to Engineers and Operatives
- Ensure delivery of works in line with specifications through prompt completion of ITPs and quality check sheets
- Oversee method statements, risk assessments and temporary works compliance
- Support construction planning by developing procedures and assessing plant, labour, and material needs
- Participate in knowledge-sharing across the team and ensure Engineers and Operatives are briefed on relevant information
- Liaise with Temporary Works Coordinators, check installation of temporary works, and issue briefs to design teams
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance at all stages of delivery
- Act as key contact between on-site teams, project managers and stakeholders to ensure progress aligns with programme goals
The Person:
- Experienced as a Section Foreman on major highways, roadworks or civil infrastructure schemes
- Technically competent in road construction, drainage, and traffic management
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor
- Proficient in assessing and delivering temporary works, quality assurance, and resource planning
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Able to commit to full-time, site-based work near Kenilworth
- Must be able to work inside IR35 (PAYE or umbrella)
