Are you an experienced Plumber or Heating Engineer looking to step into a teaching career – with full support and a fantastic benefits package?

This Leading FE College is looking for a Lecturer in Plumbing and Heating to deliver practical and theory-based sessions across Level 1 to Level 3 apprenticeships. You\’ll work with motivated learners and be part of a forward-thinking apprenticeship team committed to high-quality teaching and industry relevance.

Whether you\’re a qualified teacher or want to make the leap from industry, full support and teacher training will be provided. You\’ll also be involved in course development, learner assessments, employer liaison, and pastoral support – all while shaping the future of the trade.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Plumbing qualification, have industry experience, and a passion for sharing knowledge. Experience with apprenticeships or gas is a bonus, but not essential.

The Role

  • Deliver Plumbing & Heating teaching to apprentices (Level 1-3)

  • Create engaging lesson plans and resources

  • Monitor learner progress and provide 1:1 support

  • Work closely with employers and the curriculum team

  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvements

The Person

  • Level 3 Plumbing qualification (or equivalent)

  • Industry experience in Plumbing and/or Heating

  • Teaching qualification preferred – or willingness to gain it

  • Assessor/verifier qualifications desirable

  • Based within a commutable distance of Norwich
