In this position, you\’ll lead Construction and Design & Technology lessons, deliver qualifications such as BTEC Level 1 and 2, and manage a DT Assistant. You\’ll also play an important role in developing practical learning opportunities while helping young people reach their potential in a safe, inclusive environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Construction or Trades, with the ability to lead practical activities and use tools and machinery safely. Previous teaching experience is not essential – this role is ideal for someone who wants to take their career in a new direction, share their expertise, and help others succeed.
The Role
- Leading Construction & DT lessons and activities
- Delivering qualifications such as BTEC Level 1 & 2
- Managing and supporting a DT Assistant
- Creating a safe and engaging learning environment for students with additional needs
The Person
- Background in Construction or Trades (carpentry, joinery, brickwork, multi-trades etc.)
- Strong practical skills, including safe use of tools and machinery
- Knowledge of health & safety
- Teaching experience desirable but not essential
