Job Summary

As anElectrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical building services projects.

Your day-to-day will involve reviewing project documentation, collaborating with design and project teams, and ensuring estimates reflect both industry standards and client expectations. Your input will be key in securing work across sectors such as healthcare, commercial, education, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical services projects

  • Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to determine scope and requirements

  • Liaise with engineers, project managers, and supply chain partners to compile bids

  • Assess project risks and opportunities, factoring them into estimates appropriately

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical systems, products, and market pricing

  • Present estimates and tender returns to senior stakeholders

  • Contribute to contract negotiations and procurement discussions

  • Support project handovers by providing commercial insights and breakdowns


Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the M&E or construction industry

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Excel

  • In-depth understanding of electrical systems and installation methods

  • Effective communication skills across teams and with clients

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence

  • Familiarity with relevant building services regulations and standards

  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field are preferred
