This company are a leader within their industry & they have grown steadily since their founding, acquiring new sites in the process. Due to retirement, they are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their successful & passionate team in East Yorkshire. This is a hands-on Management role where you will be leading a team of 5 engineers. You will be responsible for managing the team whilst being hands on in the reactive and planned maintenance of machinery on a food production site. You will need to contribute to ongoing continuous improvement plans as well as project and installation work and report on KPI\’s. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Multiskilled Engineering Manager from a food background looking for an exciting new challenge with a leading company in a role that offers the opportunity to build the team as the company continues to grow in a days based Monday – Friday role. THE ROLE: * Recruitment, retention and staff development processes *Prioritise and manage the engineering workload & ensure all plant, equipment and systems are maintained *Champion industry best practices and promote the introduction of new technologies *Ensuring food safety legislation and guidelines as well as company policies are adhered to. *Control and minimize waste and play an active part in continuous improvement projects. *Develop and implement preventative maintenance systems and inspections *Develop and implement Health and safety risk assessments for Engineering activities *Be accountable for ensuring all machinery and plant is working to optimum speed all of the time, with minimal disruption to production.
