Are you a Toolroom Operative or Grinder from a precision engineering background looking for a stable, long-term role with a well-established manufacturer where you'll be properly supported and trained to do the job right?
This is a permanent position on a rotating days/nights shift pattern, offering on-the-job training and the chance to join a calm, safety-focused environment with low staff turnover and a real community feel on site.

In this role you'll operate toolroom grinding equipment (universal, cylindrical and surface grinders), produce high-quality components to engineering drawings, support the CoilThread department with arbor pins and die regrinds, and help improve methods to increase efficiency and output. xgikmsk
This role would suit someone with grinding/toolroom experience who wants stability, training, and a company that will look after you and give you the tools to succeed.
The Role:
- Operate toolroom equipment: universal, cylindrical and surface grinders
- Produce components to engineering drawings and quality standards
- Support CoilThread with arbor pin manufacture and die regrinds
- 2 weeks days (Mon-Thu 7:00-15:30, Fri 7:00-12:30) then 2 weeks nights (Mon-Wed 15:30-02:00, Thu 15:30-23:30)
- Overtime available when required (Mon-Sat x1.5, Sun x2)
The Person:
- Previous grinding/toolroom experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Able to work from engineering drawings with good attention to detail
- Comfortable working a rotating days/nights shift pattern
