Are you a junior engineer, with practical engineering / fitting experience, looking to join a leading company where you will get full training in a specialist industry and progression to technical officer? This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established business, where you will have the chance to work on state-of-the-art mechanical / electrical equipment, whilst enjoying a mixture of hands-on and hands-off customer work and chance for hybrid working.

The company are a leading equipment manufacturer, working with businesses across the UK on new eco products to help the environment. They are now looking for a junior technical officer to work closely with some of their key customers. This is a varied and interesting role, where you will work across the workshop, office and customer sites. It will involve hands-on installation, technical support to customers as well as product demonstrations. Full training will be provided on the equipment. The role would suit an engineer looking for the next step in their career.

The Role:

  • Build, assemble and test equipment in the workshop from the Southampton base
  • Visit customer sites to support installation, maintenance and optimisation of equipment
  • Technical support to customers, including product demonstrations
  • Monday-Friday (37.5 hours) with occasional weekend work (time off in lieu)
  • Opportunities for hybrid working

  • Experience in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Full UK driving licence
