Are you a Strategic Sourcing Manager, Strategic Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer looking for a high-impact role where you can shape global supplier strategy, drive cost and risk improvement, and play a key part in major growth and investment plans?

On offer is a pivotal, permanent position within a well-established manufacturer supplying specialist, highly engineered products, where you will own sourcing strategy across business units and work closely with senior stakeholders to strengthen supply continuity and supplier performance. The company are entering an exciting period of growth, with significant investment and a plan to double revenue over the next 3-5 years. As a result, they are now looking to add an experienced sourcing professional to take ownership of supplier strategy, development and resilience across a global supply base.

In this role you will develop sourcing roadmaps, maintain and improve the Approved Supplier List, onboard and audit suppliers, lead capability assessments, and negotiate robust supplier agreements. You will support project and NPI activity, including supplier approval and APQP/PFMEA involvement, and use total cost of ownership thinking across tariffs, duties, logistics and landed cost.

This role would suit an experienced strategic sourcing professional from a manufacturing environment, looking to take ownership of critical supplier relationships, influence business-wide sourcing direction, and develop long-term in a growth-focused environment.

The Role:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, supplier agreements and risk mitigation plans
  • Supplier onboarding, audits, capability assessments and ongoing supplier development
  • Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and lead supplier performance improvement
  • Support customer projects and NPI activity including APQP / PFMEA involvement
  • UK and international travel for supplier visits (UK, Europe, Far East / North America)

The Person:

  • Proven experience in global sourcing / supplier management within manufacturing (automotive desired but not essential)
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills with cost-down track record
  • Ideally CIPS (Level 5+) or degree-qualified, with ability to read engineering drawings
