On offer is a long-term role where you'll work closely with an experienced Principal Engineer, with ongoing 1-to-1 support, funded external training and structured leadership coaching, giving you a clear route into Senior / Project level work.
This is an established ground investigation and site investigation drilling services provider, supporting a range of projects with a strong rail-sector workload alongside work across energy and highways. With continued growth and ambitious plans to double headcount over the next 3-5 years, they are looking to add an experienced site-focused engineer to their specialist team.
In this role you'll be Milton Keynes based, spending the majority of your time on site across the South UK running site works, logging and sampling, with the remainder spent in the office supporting reporting. The site/office split will depend on your experience and how you'd like your career to develop, and the business is happy to support people who love site work as well as those looking to build towards a more office-based or hybrid role in the future.
This role would suit someone with hands-on site experience in geotechnical, geology or geo-environmental work who wants to develop their career at a growing company who invest heavily in their staff.
The Role:
- Running and supervising ground investigation site works
- Logging soils and rock, and carrying out sampling
- Majority site based across the South UK with some office-based reporting
- Supporting factual and interpretive reports, with training to develop report writing over time
- Working closely with a Principal Engineer on technical delivery
- Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week (overtime available)
The Person:
- Geotechnical / Engineering Geology / Geo-Environmental background
- Hands-on site experience running site works, logging and sampling
- Comfortable working independently on site
- Happy to travel and spend a large proportion of time on site
