As a Carpentry Trainer, you'll deliver high-quality Carpentry curriculum across classroom, workshop, theory and practical teaching. You'll teach learners up to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 standards, helping them develop the practical skills, technical knowledge and professional behaviours required to succeed in the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will have strong Carpentry or Joinery industry experience and hold an NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, in a Carpentry / Joinery discipline. You should also hold Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent. Previous teaching experience is desirable, but candidates coming directly from industry will be considered if they have the right skills, attitude and willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.

The role:
*Deliver Carpentry programmes up to Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3.
*Teach classroom, workshop, theory and practical sessions.
*Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans and learning materials.
*Assess and review practical work in line with College quality expectations.
*Support learners with progress, achievement, attendance and development.
*Provide pastoral and tutorial support where required.
