Are you a Quantity Surveyor with experience working on Groundworks and Civils projects? Do you feel stagnant in your current company? Are you looking to join a business during an exciting phase of growth, with the mentorship and training to progress into a Commercial Management role?
This is a growing main contractor delivering a range of commercial projects across the UK, with a strong focus on Groundworks and projects typically valued up to £2m. With ambitious plans to more than double turnover over the next five years, they're entering a really exciting period of growth. As the business expands and the current Commercial Manager progresses internally, they're looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up and take the lead of the commercial team.
Reporting directly to the MD, you will have full commercial ownership of projects from procurement through to final accounts. You will support junior surveyors and receive leadership training and development to help you transition into Commercial Management.
The ideal candidate will have some Groundworks or Civils experience with a strong Quantity Surveying background. You will have clear leadership ambitions and be ready to take an exciting step in your career.

The Role
- Oversee the cost control of Groundworks-heavy construction projects
- Work on projects up to around the £2m mark (will increase with business growth)
- Build relationships with clients and subcontractors
- Mentor junior staff, eventually progressing into Commercial Management

- Quantity Surveying experience
- Civils / Groundworks or Main Contracting background
- Self-motivated with ambition to progress to Commercial Manager
- Full UK driver's licence
