Are you a Project Manager with skills in creating project programmes? Are you looking to step into a role where you can take real ownership of preconstruction and bids for a growing main contractor? Do you want more responsibility, leading projects from concept through to handover and playing a key part in winning and delivering high-quality refurbishments?

On offer is a permanent position with an established design & build contractor delivering predominantly internal refurbishment projects across the UK, with average values from £0.5m to £1.5m, where you'll take a lead role shaping programmes and supporting successful tenders. The business is well-established and continues to strengthen its client base and secure long-term work, creating a brand-new role to support continued success and future framework opportunities.

You will be Bristol based, managing your own diary and carrying out regular site visits, working closely with commercial and construction teams to build programmes, support bids, and hand projects over once won. This role would suit a construction Project Manager from a main contractor background looking to move into a leadership-focused preconstruction role with clear scope to take ownership and progress.

The Role:

  • Lead preconstruction activity from early concept through to project handover
  • Create construction programmes / schedules and support bid submissions
  • Work closely with commercial teams and construction delivery teams
  • Bristol based - mainly office based with site visits

The Person:

  • Project Manager / Preconstruction / Bid background within a main contractor environment
  • Strong construction knowledge with the ability to produce programmes
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build relationships
