I am currently recruiting for an experienced Sourcing Manager to join a leading national retailer within their Commercial team in the central office in North London

You will be responsible for maximising the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development within the own brand buying department. Some of your duties will include;

• Develop and manage the Sourcing strategy for the specified categories within own brand
• Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
• Understand key cost drivers (and impacts) within your category and continuously identify opportunities for improvement
• Full responsibility of negotiation of cost price increases and ensuring timelines are communicated throughout the process.
• Continue to work collaboratively with current suppliers on reducing COGS and expand the range opportunities
• Maintain outstanding levels of supplier service and work seamlessly with internal departments to resolve and issues promptly.
• Always seeking new suppliers to deliver a stronger commercial offer than current suppliers, or to supply new / alternate products and categories to the business
• Analysing sales figures to plan successful future lines with the own brand team.
• Working closely with the new product development teams to maintain quality levels within products.
• Presenting reports, figures and trend information to the Senior Management team

• Key requirements for the role;

  • Proven previous Buying / Procurement / Sourcing experience within a fast-moving FMCG / Food environment.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing retail market.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
  • Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
