We're looking for an experienced Buyer to join the Food division of a well-established, much-loved retailer, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a fast-paced and innovative commercial environment.

The Role
As Buyer you will develop and deliver a commercially successful range strategy, ensuring the right products are sourced at the right price and launched at the right time.
You'll combine commercial insight, negotiation expertise and market awareness to create compelling ranges that keep customers coming back.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies that deliver sales, margin and stock turn targets.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and onboarding new supplier opportunities.
- Negotiate competitive commercial terms to maximise profitability and deliver value for customers.
- Ensure product availability and successful seasonal launches through effective planning and supplier management.
- Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitor activity to keep the range fresh, relevant and ahead of the competition.
- Present category performance, product recommendations and trend insights to senior stakeholders.
- Manage category budgets and use sales data to identify opportunities for future growth and range development.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver a best-in-class customer proposition.
