In the role you will:

  • Be responsible for delivering the quality strategy for your category ensuring legal, safe and fit for purpose products are available for customers, with the aim of reducing customer complaints, faulty returns and negative customer reviews.
  • Conduct product risk assessments, technical benchmarking, and user trials to ensure products meet brand guidelines.
  • Approve samples, packaging, copy, instruction manuals and relevant documentation in line with the critical path, meeting agreed timescales to deliver products for sale.
  • Organise in line and pre-shipment inspections.
  • Coordinate with testing houses and suppliers to ensure your products are meeting standards complying with legislation in the UK and other countries.
  • Analyse returns and agree corrective action plans/improvements.
  • Provide technical advice and support to buying and customer service teams.
  • Report into the Head of Technical.

You will:

  • Have demonstrable experience of working in a Technical / Quality-focused role within Furniture, Homewares, Toys, Seasonal or General Merchandise.
  • Have good organisation skills, be able to manage your own workload and able to meet tight deadlines.
