Senior Buyer β Toys (9 month FTC)
Location: Home based (with occasional travel to their head office)
My client is looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Senior Buyer to join their team, initially on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is a unique chance to lead a small team and fully own the trading, compliance and new product development (NPD) process, driving sales and boosting brand identity, for this market leading Toy company. Key Responsibilities
- Lead New Product Development: Full ownership from concept to commercialisation, tracking trends and maximising opportunities.
- Supplier Management: Manage Far East supplier relationships , identify new suppliers, and negotiate for margin targets.
- Team Leadership: Oversee a small buying team , ensuring products meet compliance and safety standards.
- Commercial & Analytical: Manage product portfolios , analyse sales data, and conduct market analysis to drive performance.
- Sales & Marketing Support: Present new ranges , integrate customer feedback, and manage trade fair presence.
