We are currently working with a retail business to recruit an experienced Space Planning Manager to join an established business on a Fixed Term Contract. You will be responsible for managing your team of space planners to transform the brand's creative vision and overall commercial plans into clear, accurate, and customer-engaging plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with various internal departments to deliver the trade plan vision and ensure everything is aligned, including correct planograms across all formats and channels.
  • Working seamlessly with the commercial and product teams to ensure all plans match customer vision.
  • Converting ranging strategies and space principles into engaging store-level planograms.
  • Using customer data and insights to bring all visual plans to life.
  • Collaborating with tech to ensure fixtures and point of sale enhance the customer shopping journey.
  • Keeping systems and processes updated to ensure continuous improvement in ways of working.
  • Taking full ownership of the plan and acting on escalated issues when they arise.
  • Managing and developing a team of space planners, leading by example to build a strong and capable team.

Key requirements for this role:

  • Previous experience in space planning at a micro level within retail or an FMCG brand.
  • Experience of managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise/influence effectively at all levels.
  • Highly accurate with good attention to detail.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse data.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel and Tableau.
