As a Junior Buyer, you’ll report directly to the Trading Director, playing a key role in driving sales and profitability for your assigned product categories. You’ll be responsible for managing supplier relationships, sourcing exciting new product lines, and ensuring commercial success across multiple business channels.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of specific product categories, ensuring they perform across all sales channels
- Drive sales, margins, and supplier terms to hit ambitious budget targets
- Analyze category performance weekly and suggest proactive strategies to enhance results
- Negotiate supplier terms, securing the best deals to maximize profitability
- Keep a pulse on competitor activity, ensuring your categories remain market leaders
- Identify and introduce new product opportunities that excite customers
- Work closely with store teams and marketing to create compelling promotions
- Maintain optimal stock levels to maximize availability and minimize waste
- Represent the client at trade shows, exhibitions, and supplier meetings
