A leading, multi-billion-pound diversified multinational group is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Category Manager to join its growing team. Operating across the wholesale, retail, and pharmacy sectors, this established organisation serves over 12 million customers and supports communities across the UK and internationally. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering strategic Category Plans that maximise sales and profitability for both the business and its retail partners. The Category Manager will oversee all aspects of category management, encompassing ranging, pricing, strategy development, supplier management, promotional planning, and securing income for marketing and media support. Create and implement comprehensive category and Own Brand strategies to meet budget targets for sales, wholesale margin, retail POR, and cash profit. Drive product ranging and pricing in line with company policy, identify market gaps, review current range status, and ensure an optimal balance of branded and own-brand products. Plan, communicate, and accurately analyse the effectiveness and forecasts of seasonal promotional events and corporate initiatives across the supply base. Maintain high product availability using sound commercial reasoning and ensure all administrative tasks for the category are completed accurately and on time. Significant experience within the FMCG Wholesale or Retail sectors (Buying, Sales, or Category Management). A proven track record of creating and delivering successful category strategies, managing promotional plans, and analysing performance and market data.
