I am recruiting for an experienced Events Manager to join a leading national retailer based within their North London head office. Reporting into the Retail Director, you will take the lead in planning, coordinating and executing a wide variety of corporate events, meetings and conferences for clients and suppliers across the annual calendar.
Your main responsibilities as the Events Manager will include:
- Plan and execute all UK events and meetings as requested
- Prepare and manage all logistics for meetings and events (in-person, virtual, or hybrid)
- Coordinate event invitations, registration, communications, and relevant materials required
- Research various venues and negotiate pricing packages
- Liaise with various venues, caterers, hotels, and other suppliers as required
- Manage specific event budgets, timelines, and on-site execution
- Be on hand to specific events to ensure smooth delivery
- Ensure all events align with company branding and objectives
- Co-ordinate post-event analysis and reporting
Key requirements for the role:
- Proven experience in arranging volume events or meeting planning
- Strong project management and excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
- Willingness to travel as required
- Good level of education, degree is preferable
- Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects
- Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel
