Global Sourcing Buying Manager
Dusselforf
€80,000 – €120,000 DOE
My client is a hugely successful International retailer who are going through a huge period of growth and transformation. As a result they are looking for experienced Senior Buyer or Buying Manager's to join the business to help manage this change and drive the growth of the business forward.
I am looking for Senior Buyer's with experience buying General Merchandise only, this includes categories such as Homewares, Toys, Garden & DIY, Consumer Electricals, Stationery, Books, Home Fragrance (to name a few).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to propel their Buying career and experience working collaboratively with Buyers from around the world. As a Buying Manager you’ll be helping to secure exciting products at the best price and you will be responsible for driving the Buying strategy to ensure the growth in both sales & profitability while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued development in the buying department.
As a Global Sourcing Buying Manager some of your duties will include:
- Build & maintain long lasting relationships with suppliers
- Liaise with the FE office
- Negotiate with FE suppliers
- Working coherently with the national Buyers
- Negotiate the best possible contracts & terms
- Analyse sales figures to plan successful future lines with the buying team
- Constant competitor and price analysis
- Working cross functionally to ensure quality levels within products
- Managing & developing your team, leading by example
- Key requirements for the role:
- Proven previous experience as Buyer / Buying Manager within a fast-moving retail environment
- Experience of buying general merchandise (not fashion or food)
- Educated to degree level
- Previous line management experience
- Manage workload with good levels of attention to detail
- Direct Line Management experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels
