We’re looking for a creative and commercial Buyer to take ownership of supplier strategy, product range, and category performance for Christmas! You will have true autonomy over your categories – you want to take a risk because you think it’s going to be big? Go for it!
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating marketing leading ranges of trend led Christmas products
- Completing sales analysis using market and customer insight data to inform buying decisions
- Sourcing, developing and growing the product range
- Managing the supply base, negotiating competitive pricing, monitoring KPI's and ensuring adherence to contractual terms
- Defining the pricing and promotional strategy for the category
- Achieve commercial results in line with the category targets, maximising revenue and margin
- Building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with suppliers
- Presenting range strategies, performance insights, and market trends to senior stakeholders
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in buying within retailer for Christmas, Seasonal, Homewares or General Merchandise product
- A buyer that can create a beautiful and commercially successful range
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
