We are currently recruiting for a Merchandiser to join an established and well-regarded retailer.
As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing range reviews, range management and range analysis processes whilst managing stock within agreed open to buy limits. Reporting into the Head of Merchandising, some of your duties will include:
- Preparing weekly review of stores and product in preparation for weekly team meeting
- Manage the range review process and critical path
- Managing WSSI by accurately forecasting demand, OTB, returns, and margin.
- Building relationships with internal teams to continuously develop & optimise product lines.
- Continually monitor both market & competitor activity
- Working cross functionally with warehousing, shipping, finance & sales teams to optimise sales and margin, while ensuring high levels of professionalism are achieved.
- Working closely with internal teams to improve product forecasting.
- Reviewing Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Sales performance
- Contributing to the supplier review processes
- Highlighting & reviewing stock management/ flow to increase sales of high performing lines & reduce less successful lines.
- Ensure that all price adjustments are checked and on the system at the correct time
- Interact with other internal teams to improve store performance and drive best practices
- Building & maintaining strong relationships with external suppliers and internal departments
Key requirements for the role:
- Previous experience in Merchandising is essential ideally within Retail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise / influence effectively at all levels.
- Highly accurate with a good attention to detail
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyse data.
- Ability to manage a varied workload.
- Strong commercial awareness
- Good working knowledge of MS Office products specifically advanced Excel
