I'm currently recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a well-established and successful UK Food retailer to join the team based within their West Midlands head office. You will be responsible for assisting the Buying Team to ensure continued growth within the category. As an Assistant Buyer, you will need to be driven and dynamic and thrive working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Providing support to the Buying department
- Creating new product listings on the system
- Raising and inputting supplier invoices
- Assisting in collating promotional information from suppliers to build the promotional pack for each category
- Collating and inputting supplier information
- Working cross functionally with Buying
Experience in a Buying Assistant / Assistant Buyer position within a retail / FMCG environment preferred.
Key skills required:
- Highly accurate with a good attention to detail
- Ability to manage a varied workload with conflicting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
- Good level of education – degree is preferable
- Excellent understanding of all MS Office products specifically Excel
