We are actively seeking a skilled and motivated Labour Foreman/Lead Hand to join our team for an immediate opportunity at one of our residential projects located in Surrey/Langley. Reporting to the Site Superintendent and working alongside a growing site team, overseeing and guiding a team of 3-5 workers to ensure the successful completion of daily tasks. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a wide range of labour tasks on site as well as leading, motivating, and supervising a team of 3-5 workers.
  • Organizing and overseeing the completion of daily construction tasks, ensuring they are executed efficiently and in compliance with project plans and timelines.
  • Assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and strengths.
  • Ensuring the quality of work by regularly inspecting completed tasks.
  • Enforcing safety guidelines and practices.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the Site Superintendent, relaying project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Capable of performing a range of heavy and light duty tasks, as the job demands.
  • A proven track record of leadership and the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve results.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required by the project schedule.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry is required.

What We Are Looking For

  • Professional attitude and a safety-first work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • BC Driver’s license.
  • Authorization to work in Canada.

Full-time position with an 8-hour shift. Workdays from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime and weekend work as project demands dictate.

Working Conditions

  • Working at heights.
  • Exposure to cold/hot weather. Appropriate dress required for weather conditions.
  • Exposure to noise, dust, pollution.
  • Exposure to hazards such as heights, power tools, slips, falls, falling objects, sharp hand tools.
  • Ability to stand, crouch and kneel for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
