Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young children's development and creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives through quality care and education, fostering their growth during crucial developmental stages. Duties

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development for children from infants to preschoolers.
  • Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and ensuring the safety of children at all times.
  • Support children's individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
  • Observe and document children's progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians about their child's development.
  • Assist with daily routines such as nap times, outdoor play, and meal times to ensure a smooth daily schedule.
  • Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive behavior and social interactions among children.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities and ensure consistency in caregiving practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in first aid are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
  • Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to create a caring, inclusive environment that supports diverse needs.
