We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Practitioner to join our early childhood education team. Duties
- Plan and implement age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development for children from infants to preschoolers.
- Provide attentive care including feeding, diapering, and ensuring the safety of children at all times.
- Support children’s individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Observe and document children’s progress, communicating effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s development.
- Assist with daily routines such as nap times, outdoor play, and meal times to ensure a smooth daily schedule.
- Implement behaviour management strategies that promote positive behaviour and social interactions among children.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum activities and ensure consistency in caregiving practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques.
- Experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool‑aged children is highly desirable.
- Certifications in first aid are preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified.
- Background in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
- Ability to create a caring, inclusive environment that supports diverse needs.
- Previous experience in caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting will be considered valuable.
