We are a market‑leading, progressive company in the electrical industry seeking a Business Development Manager. The role involves building and managing a customer base across a wide range of industries, selling electrical, lighting, power distribution, factory automation and process automation solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Identify and promote opportunities to sell a full range of solutions within the defined territory.
- Engage with decision makers and strengthen customer relationships.
- Plan and conduct customer visits while managing your own diary.
- Leverage the extensive customer database, marketing support and technical support to close sales.
- Participate in ongoing product and technical training.
Qualifications & requirements:
- Previous sales experience in the industrial electrical market.
- Proven sales career history and success.
- Commercial and technical ability, with knowledge of industrial electrical/control & automation.
- Strong communication skills – verbal & written.
- Time‑management and organisational skills.
- Self‑motivation, driven with a “can‑do” attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Registered to work in the UK – no sponsorship available.
- Minimum electrical qualification preferred but not mandatory.
Location: Position based in the South East England – preferred areas include Chelmsford, Wickford, Southend‑on‑Sea, Basildon, Dartford, Maidstone and Croydon. Candidates located anywhere within the South East are also considered.
