Overview
Area Sales Engineer for Industrial Electrical Connection Solutions, Switchgear, Power Distribution & ATEX Products. The role involves managing the sales territory across the Western/M6 corridor of England for a global manufacturer of high quality industrial electrical solutions.
Remuneration
Competitive salary (£55k‑£65k) plus £15k bonus, company car, health insurance allowance, mobile, laptop, 25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays.
Responsibilities
- Build upon existing accounts and develop new business within the territory.
- Maintain and enhance relationships with distribution partners, OEMs, system integrators, panel builders, and wholesale resellers.
- Sell the full portfolio of industrial electrical connection solutions, control stations and ATEX products to the industrial sector.
- Identify suitable projects and industry sector targets, achieving specification or preferred supplier status.
- Interact with consultants, major contractors and manage the sales cycle through to order stage.
Qualifications
- Strong technical sales background in the electrical industrial market, preferably as an Area Sales Engineer, Field Sales, Area Sales Manager, Sales Representative or Business Development Manager.
- Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience with proven technical ability in controls and components.
- Commercial flair and experience on the M6 corridor territory, covering Lancashire to Swindon and Wales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
Territory
Western/M6 corridor Region of England, extending from Lancashire down to Swindon on the West of England and including Wales.
